I can i...Love the hair. What a beautiful portrait.<br /><br />I can identify with your fascination with both media. I like pastel's immediacy and no drying requirement but hate framing them. It's also interesting to push color with them, especially when the exact tone one needs is not in the box.<br /><br />I do work similarly with both pastel and oil, layering until I get what I want.<br /><br />Oil is wonderful to work with and easier than pastel for getting the color I want. Paint is primal to me, like clay.
