WHOOPS!

11x14"
pencil on paper
$75

I made this face in an effort to spell the sound my mouth produced. It wasn't Whoops! Really, just how would one spell that sound?

The depression has lifted. Himself gave me a pup break all weekend past and I was back to my old, marginally cranky self in no time! Seeing the impact not working has on my fragile hold on peace, I took the pups by the horn and reclaimed my days this week! They now revolve around my schedule. I'm still judging and critical of myself, but am not taking it seriously. I keep thinking of what Crash Davis said to Ebbie Calvin "Nuke" Laloush in Bull Durham..."don't think, it'll only hurt the team!"

  1. Your posts never fail to bring a smile to my face...and sometimes a big ole out loud laugh. This was one. That last line was hilarious! Can't help with the sound. Maybe PwwwaT?

    What a great drawing!

  2. Oh my gosh I am enjoying all your fun faces! Good for you to figure out that the pups need to live to your schedule! My Mom gave me that advice when I had my first baby...best piece of info I ever got.

  5. Hi Suzanne,

I just love all of these faces! Love them!!! And it gives me an idea... each of my boys have these faces they make that are just so.. so them! If I could capture these looks in a photo and send them to you with some cash... see where I am going with this??? :0) The catch is to capture the looks so they aren't staged... they need to be natural.... hmmmmm.

Also, I haven't stopped by for a bit- lots going on- but I wanted to say that I really appreciate that you posted that "freakin' apple" especially because you were not happy with it. That took guts my friend! And you were way too hard on yourself. I'm glad you are feeling better.

    All the best,
    Nicki
