HOLDING PATTERN

SOLD

Just waitin' for clearance from the tower.

I painted this critter before but much smaller as a daily. It was fun taking my time on a much larger scale. There is a distinctive difference between a wasp and a bee I wasn't aware of. I thought if you had a yellow and black stripped bum you were a bee. Who knew?

  1. I love how you make it all about the insect by isolating it in the field of white, great job as alway Suzanne!

  3. Oh my goodness! I am not scared of many things - Spiders don't worry me, not even the biggies! BUT wasps are one insect that I am absolutely terrified of!! So much so, that when I saw your amazingly real painting, I felt my heartbeat raise straight away!
I would rather be in a room with a snake than I would a wasp and anyone who knows me will tell you that I have an irrational fear of them, lol!
With that in mind - Though your incredible painting is brilliant - for the first time I have to say that there is NO WAY I would want to hang this one on any of my walls! ;0)

  4. Good Morning Suzanne!... visiting your site as I customarily do in the morning... "I" am never disappointed.

On every occasion... I am delivered a visual main course... with artful attention to presentation... attention to dynamic design... colour and with a subtle, but thoughtful and humourous view of your world... or thoughts about it.

    All aspects... "simply"... delectable!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

PS Good luck with the "T" project - a great idea!

  13. Awesome. Fearsome too.
Wasps hurt a lot more when they sting you.
