Double dippin' again. Actually, triple dippin' in this painting's case. I've committed to 2 paintings a week minimum, which by daily painting standards ain't all that, but my rationalization is that I'm using larger canvasses. And, I'm working on two commissions right now and even if they were done, posting before they are gifted to the intended giftees wouldn't be prudent so meet the line-up. Again.
Enjoy the weekend and thank you again for dropping by.
Every time I visit your blog I get an urge to try oils. I can hardly believe how real the paintings seem. I am in awe of your attention to detail; the dimpled skin, the little imperfections, the highlights & shadows... I could go on! Two paintings a week? Wow! You must be a very quick painter :0)
ReplyDeleteCool Beans ! Love this one ! the shapes and the format... great ! (not really beans, pears, of course... anyway... I'm just sayin')
ReplyDeleteI am fortunate to be one of your collectors.
ReplyDeleteYou do amazing work.
sincerly,
rick nilson
Zowie Suzanne! This is fabulous. I love how you're always trying something new. I love the long format. This would look awesome in anyone's home.
ReplyDeleteWOW Suz.
ReplyDeleteIts a great piece. Love those peats.
Ooops I meant pears not peats......
ReplyDeleteYou are simply an amazing artist and I imagine you sell as quickly as you can paint. The colors in this gem are just delicious!
ReplyDelete(I missed the incredible, edible eggs of a few days ago - wow!)
Have a lovely weekend,
Genie
This is wonderful. Dynamic composition. I love that every pear is different. I always like reflections in surfaces like that and these are excellent! This must be amazing in person.
ReplyDeleteThat's a long canvas, did you get it especially made? Must have been lots of work that size, I'm sure it looks stunning in real life. Love the reflections too.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely yummy. Love the subject and those killer reflections.
ReplyDeleteThese just keep getting more interesting
ReplyDeleteSuch personality in your line-up! It's wonderful. You sound like a busy girl. How do you find time to blog as well?
ReplyDeleteThis is simply exquisite, Suzanne. I'm not sure I saw this before...did I? (Oy. The mind. She goes.) This would be stunning in a kitchen or dining room!
ReplyDeleteHello there Suzanne!... and WHAT a line up it is!Great colour... texture... almost edible... due to your detailed work! Two a day... you say?
ReplyDeleteI guess that you could call that another...Pear!HAHA!!
Good painting... and Happy Spring Suz!
Warmest regards,
Glad you are busy with commissions, the best way to be! Can't wait to see the fined work!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflections ...nice details.
ReplyDeleteThis one must have been fun to paint with those dimensions! I love the reflections and the colors of each one are so individual. You sound like me, I am going to let go of the daily painting for awhile and get some more serious stuff done. Commissions looking me in the eye, as well...nothing like a little pressure - that pushes me just where I like to be - BUSY!!!
ReplyDeleteso well done Suzanne.
ReplyDeleteYou've addressed something that's always on my mind about posting and numbers. I'd like to be Duane Keiser or Carol Marine and post 300 plus paintings a year but I 'only' (tongue in cheek) post about 100 a year and that's still every third day on average so...that's a respectable number of paintings. I don't post anything that doesn't live up to my standards, which means that I may paint but not post and..you're right. Bigger canvases take more planning and more work.
I think we're doing great ;}
WOW! Suzanne, this painting is amazing. I am always in awe of what you talent can bring to this blog. Something so simple as fruit can be so wonderful as a subject in a painting. I know, I know it's been done before, but you are unique in you talent and bring something new to ordinary subjects.
ReplyDeleteBRILLIANT!
Have a great day
Joan
Suzanne!!! I LOVE this piece!!! It is beyond fabulous! I would love to see it in person. You are one busy lady trying to get so many paintings done. Wishing you lots of creative flow:)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this painting! The reflections are beautiful and such gorgeous, yummy pears! Your format is perfect for all those pears.
ReplyDeleteAmazing painting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, wonderful painting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and amazing. You are so good at capturing the smallest details, yet the painting as a whole, is a beautiful work of art.
ReplyDeleteThat daily painting commitment is a tough one. I'm totally amazed that you can do work like this in a large format at the rate you do. Do you just work 'round the clock and forgo sleep?!
