Oh my gosh,,, this is fantastic! Love it ,, love it. The portrait is perfectly perfect! Those boys,,, what beautiful models they are! You captured their spirit! Awsome! love tweedles
Hi there Suzanne!... Another nice "caught moment"... the lads seem in conversation! Wonder what they're thinking?
"Looks like rain Blu!"...
Dripping is often a great strategy to compliment an otherwise tightly painted subject... as long as it doesn't overpower the main idea... or seem contrived!
There is NEVER anything contrived in your work Suzanne. Just follow your heart... as I know that you will... that's what separates "You" ... from the "ordinary"!!.... He(ART)!!... Silly Bear! HA HA!!!
Suz, I love this!!! It is fantastic and you can't help but love those little faces. I think the background is great, I love that you've kept it in the same tones of the overall painting.
These guys are so sweet, and look for all the world like wise little fellows. I love their expression, you paint them so well.
As for the drips, I like them. Its rather like they're sitting in front of a window that has condensation on it. The final choice is yours and only you know where the last brush strokes live.
I love it, dripps and all. The boys are adorable and you have done a great job capturing their personalities. Even though I don't know them, I feel as though I do. Well done.
I think it is just beautiful! They are adorable! The drips may possibly have been a little distracting had they have been in a different colour or a stronger tone, but you have kept them muted and understated, so they just add interest. It is a gorgeous portrait! :0)
Your visits to my blog and the comments you leave here are an integral part of my creative process. They are helpful, supportive and well, let's face it, they feel really good! If I don't thank you personally, please allow me to thank you in advance for taking the time to stop by and leave your thoughts, they mean so much!
Really wonderful! Gorgeous portraits of the boys. I have been playing with some drips too- fun and like the interest it gives!
ReplyDeleteI like the drips and The boys are looking good too! Very rich in tecture and depth!
ReplyDeleteNot too distracting. It would be tough to distract from those faces.
