I love the painting, Suzanne and this comment of yours, "Ahh, to be young, rich, beautiful and capable of flight!" Indeed!I'd settle for young and beautiful, but rich and capable of flight sound pretty good too.
WOW! Impressive! Perhaps you should include the shot of your paintings on the easel on every one. Yours are usually so big and this in 20x20, impressive I say again. :)
Stunning! I love the colors you used. No wonder she's so into herself, you created her into a gorgeous creature! I love the composition, especially the shapes defined by her legs and reflections. It's been awhile since your imaginative stories accompany your paintings. I love that they're finding their way back into your blog. So fun to read... Hugs my friend.
This is bug is beautifully painted, Suzanne!!! Love her markings and colors!!! I can only imagine how beautiful it looks in person, especially the size of it. Wonderful job, as always.!
Preciosa, simpática libélula llena de color.
Allegra is QUITE the young lady/bug! What an exquisite painting! As you say, the colors are fabulous, and your format is perfect. I'm happy to see you have done another wonderful [and colorful] bug painting - I do love them.
Holy smokies- look at those wings- they are amazing! How beautiful you are Allegra, I have a feeling that you will make many amazing journeys, and I hope you tell us lots of stories- so we can share your joy.lovetweedles
You said it all in that last line, sister! She is a beauty indeed!
This is SO beeeeautiful!! And I love her little story - It made me chuckle! I'd like to paint one of theses guys one day. We have lots of huge blue/green ones which hover in our garden in the summer months. They are so pretty :0)
So happy you have a subscribe widget now! What a delight to receive Allegra in my Inbox today! She IS surely a rainbow in motion. And need I remind you, my friend, that you ARE young, rich, beautiful and oh-so-capable of flight.Bren
See? See how we love it when you tell a tale about an insect? Fab!
Egads Suz!!!! This is GORGEOUS!!! I love all those colors, you brought them to life in an incredibly beautiful way! I also am salivating over your lovely paintings all lined up on the floor, especially the eggs. And I really don't like eggs. But dadgum if they aren't beautiful by your brush!! I saw a beautiful monarch butterfly on my front porch when I left to go running the other day, and thought of you. ALthough I don't think I've seen you paint a butterfly before. But still, a bug, I thought you'd turn into the most beautiful dame.
"dragonfly high" ...hahaha! Allegra would most certainly stand out in any institution. Love the painting and the words are beautiful too.
Suzanne, check out my post from today ....coincidence.....
She is certainly majestic.
Oh, to be glittery, gorgeous and absolutely care-free, that wench doesn't know how good she's got it.
Allegra has it all! Your work is gorgeous, high spirited, precise and pure fun!
Please tell Allegra to watch out for French frogs who claim to be princes.
I've never liked bugs, eeek! but your paintings of insects give me a new slant on them - really, really gorgeous!
I'm ashamed to say it's been awhile since I visited your blog, Suzanne. Facebook has made me lazy. :( I saw this dragonfly and my jaw dropped. This truly inspired! Bravo!
