BEAUFORD

"Beauford"
16x16" oil on heavyweight canvas

SOLD

Meet Beauford! Excellent name. And I just love his crooked toofus! I must admit I had a bit of trouble with this one. I think I might need a break. I don't have the dreads, just doing a lot of heavy sighing. Guess it's the anniversary coming up.

I am amazed by the amount of snow we've been getting and are scheduled to get again tonight and tomorrow. Depending upon where the line is we'll either get rain and snow or just snow. I'm done and I don't even have to drive in it. Although the morning after the other day, it was gorgeous out. Just mounds of the stuff stuck to branches and trees. Beautiful! Winter wonderland time. Except for the shoveling. Luckily I have that covered but after he left the big plows came out in force and BAM! Just like that, 4 feet of big chunks of half frozen slush and snow across the drive! Oh well.

Tim has been very busy this past week! I'm so fortunate, but still, there is nothin like the real thing and I miss that more than I can put into words. Sometimes I feel normal, I know he's fine and with us but sometimes...well you know.

I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks so much for dropping by.

I DO love this painting, though! Your work is flawless and so fresh! I always wonder, "how?!"

4 feet of snow and counting! It's a sunny day, though, and it sure lifts ones spirits!

    Thank you for posting this!

  4. So much personality in Beauford! He reminds me of that doggie that was in that viral video about getting a cat..where the dog was talking with the owner and getting all excited! Glad you are staying home while the weather is getting all weird on everyone in the south and east. Hope the Tim times are always the way you want them to be and that they fill you up each time with his love (cause i just know they do)

  5. Beauford is one handsome dog! Beautiful painting, Suz. I'm with you on the heavy sighing thing. I do that a lot myself these days. Maybe time for a couch, old movies, pillow and blanket and a good book for the commercials...

  10. Suz, the painting is utterly superb!!! ... and the name!!! I see no sign of the difficulty you mentioned. What character and love you have portrayed - I can tell this dog has a very subtle sense of humor.

  13. Man....is that a gorgeous dog painting! I always think the people who wind up with these must be in 7th heaven when they get them! You just infuse them with so much vitality! I feel for all you back East in the snow. Lord! We had some last week and everything came to a grinding halt. It was only one week, however. I grew up in Illinois, so I remember the "endless" type of winter. It has to wear thin! I do wonder what Tim would have made of it--would he have gone outside to play in it???
    Happy Valentines Day, dear friend!

  18. Wow!!!! He almost licked my face! He looks THAT real! Incredible work!!!
We have had no snow here this winter for the first time in years - but ridiculous amounts of rain and floods! Have a nice glass of red on the anniversary and think about the wonderful times you had. And if you haven't already read my latest post, then please do because there is a message in there for you :0)
