YET ANOTHER ADORALBE PUG

PUG 18x18" oil on linen  SOLD

This was great fun. My two boys, while getting on in years, so am I, are still here and still perfect. Raz is having some problems that might be terminal, but he's such a little minky and doing well.

Anyway this client has her other Pug hanging with this and thank goodness, she is very happy with both.

SUGAR HIGH TOO

SUGAR HIGH TOO 24x24" oil on linen IN PROGRESS

K...I'm havin fun! For some reason, my guess is a combination of a few reasons, I'm finally painting the way I see it in my head! I've been besotted with artists online and have some favorites I follow faithfully and have learned so much!

Patience is the most important new attitude to try on and it's fitting! This is far from finished, still lots to do, and my friend's is coming along beautifully! I mean really, I'm working and posting. WTH?

Amazing!

PINECONE SOUP TOO 16x20 linen on canvas AVAILABLE

This is our first effort together. In explaining to my friend my process, she has been willing to change just about everything in the way she works. However, I am and she is as well, very aware of keeping her style and not allowing mine to influence hers while imparting the tricks and pitfalls I've learned over the years...since 04, actually.

Anyway, clearly I'd love to post her version as well, but I don't feel that's my place. This is between the two of us and I'm making my work public because I'm just so damned thrilled to be excited about working and, surprise, surprise....extremely happy with the results.

The second one is next! Again...who knew?

 Who am I?

Was gonna name this PARENTING 2020, however the subject matter christened it COMIN IN HOT when he saw it...and he was only three at the time. A really cool kid.

 Anyway, I think I'm back.

So...what's new? Not a lot goin on since I last showed up here right? Enough said. And that said, I hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected. Strange times.

Anyway, I have been working on and off, mostly off, but recently something happened that well, changed everything. I've made some very good friends thru art on the web and one in particular has become my very very close friend. Being an artist herself, the support and praise, not to mention the wisdom and kindness she exudes, kept us in contact on a somewhat daily basis.

A few months ago, having seen some free lance work she did, I decided to ask if she might be interested in learning what I know, that being only what experience has wrought and taught. She said yes and we have just started our second painting together.

Suddenly I can't wait to get to the studio! And when I do I stay! Haven't felt this excited about art and creating since Tim was here. My self isolation, never a good idea, again proven to be not cool. What a difference. We do lessons on video thru an app and I'm learning as much if not more each time!

We'll see. I mean I've claimed many times to be back and then disappeared, but so far, and the honeymoon phase is just about over, we are both focused and dedicated.

Who knew?

I hear you. I'm progressing. As long as you're good, then so am I.
You know how much I love you. And miss you.

To followers of my blog:
Thank you for your kindness. I am posting primarily on IG now as I no longer am a member of DP or DPW. Thank you so much for your kind words of support, caring and your approval of my work. I wish everyone good luck and the best of everything.

While I obviously haven't been posting much, I still might every now and then. Happy creating!
Thanks again!

APOLOGIES!!!

I haven't posted for some time, save tributes to my husband, however I noticed that there were no comments under that post. This was fine as I hadn't posted in some time and people move on. But, in posting today I found that I had indeed received comments but they weren't published!

Please accept my apologies for not thanking those of you who took the time to leave me very kind and comforting comments on the post for Tim. I appreciate you caring and feel awful for not promptly thanking you.

I've informed blogger and I hope to have this problem resolved soon.

Thank you again!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!

TIMOTHY FRANCIS BERRY
October 1, 1967 - February 23, 2012

We've had a million conversations since you left. You are with me every moment of every hour of every day. The trials and tribulations of my life were worth every perceived failure, every painful lesson and every disappointment, simply because I was fortunate enough to be your wife, your best friend and partner for 20 years. Even believing I'd lost you. I know now that I haven't and never will.

As you recently said, we are in this together. We are a team. We have always been a team and we will always be a team.

Happy Birthday my love! Holding you tight. Never letting go.

Love forever,
Suz, Blu and Raz Berry

TIMOTHY F. BERRY

October 1, 1967 - February 23, 2012

This is his "stop taking pictures of me please" slightly annoyed look. We were attending a friend's wedding in the mountains, just a few days after our marriage. Wonderful time.

Although the words, I believe, are over used, I could think of no others to describe what we had and still have. In fact words fail, but these will have to do.

I miss you so very very  much.

Although I know you are with me always, there are no words to describe how very very very much I miss your physical presence. I will love you through all eternity.

Five years still feels like five minutes.
