TRAMPOLINE 1
16x20"
oil on canvas
sold
This is the first in a series of paintings that will be created from photographs taken by Tracie76Photography, mentioned in a previous post. I've read so much about painting from photos, both pro and con. Besides the obvious—props, models, location, convenience, cost—I find the solitary end of it invaluable. Whatever works, no?
Again, the white canvas works I think. Her movement and the turning of her hair and dress are the focal point, I think brush strokes surrounding her might have been distracting.

Woooooooooooooow.... this is the reason I got into blogging so see wonderful work like this and the thought process behind it. I especially love the shoulder area and her hand. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow, Suzanne.....wow.
ReplyDeleteI think you have something really great here...follow that lead.
this reminds me so much of a trampoline series that i did of my daughter when she was about 4 years old. at the time i was working in oil still with overstated plain negative space ... it feels so familiar!
ReplyDeleteExpertly done!
