URSULE & VICTOIRE

16x20" oil on canvas
SOLD

I'm back in action!! It looked a tad scary for a while as the folks at the Genius Bar had to replace the hard drive, the logic board and the video card because everything they tried didn't work! You can be completely sure that I will be backing up EVERYTHING!! It's taken poor Tim all day to reinstall and locate and he's not nearly finished. You never think you'll need your bookmarks, all your passwords are gone. And gee, guess what? My password/address book must have sprouted legs and made good its escape because I can't find it anywhere. I should be use to it. At this point I've abandoned all hope that I'll ever be the tidy type, the type that always knows where everything is. Why stress? What's the point? It'll turn up and in a month or less we'll find our way back to all new stuff...which will, without a shadow of a doubt be backed up times ten!

The painting has been posted before. It was my first European commission. Just wanted to post something cuz every time my title page pops up there's a really great painting by Robin Cheers  because I missed challenge this month!

I'm really excited about the commissions I'm finishing. I accidentally found the most amazing linen surface with a tasty tooth, and the application of the paint is bordering on the sensual, if you'll pardon the bawdy imagery. I'm actually feeling, dare I say, quite satisfied with my progress. I'll have to wait to post two of them as they're gifts, wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.

Anyway, thanks for listening and for the support during my time of computer interuptus. Hope the weekend is going well!

  2. That is such an awesome portrait of two sweet pooches, you should run it once a month!
I purchased Carbonite online backup for my computer and now I can rest assured all my stuff is safe and retrievable up there in the cloud. $59/year is cheap peace of mind.

  3. I love the glow of colour and sweet faces of these pups. I am partial because I used to have a mini longhaired Dachshund. You in spire me to go dig out a photo of her and paint her.

I'm sure its such a relief that the computer is sorted. Its a painful process always isn't it as we're so dependent on them.

  4. Great commission! Are they watching television? A late night romance???

So do tell where I can get some of that seductive canvas...

  7. Oh, Suz, I love your baudy imagery! This is such a fabulous painting and I am looking forward to seeing your current commissioned piece.

Computer problems should be dealt with by professionals. You wouldn't think of drilling on your own teeth now would you? So, leave it to someone who has a passion for the techno stuff and keep on your creative bent!

  13. Suzanne this is so stunning! I love the expression on the dog's faces. You are a master at painting fur and faces!! And I'm so glad you got your computer back! That happened to me earlier this year and it took me FOREVER to figure out all my old passwords! Best of luck my friend!

And I'm not as organized or tidy as I'd like to be.

    Dishevelment unite!
